清水 みわ
プロフィール
清水みわ （本名 清水智子）
1957年、京都市に生まれる。1975年、京都市立芸術大学入学（工芸専攻）、1982年、同大学院修了。織物による、平面・立体作品を制作。個展、朝日クラフト展（奨励賞）など。また、衣服の製作も手掛ける。
2001年より、織と刺繍を融合させた作品制作を始める。
2010年個展、2012年日本新工芸展（日本新工芸賞）。
現在、京都在住。京都工芸作家協会会員。
鳥、植物、音楽、スピリチュアルをテーマに、色彩豊かな作品を制作。
材料は、絹、ウール、麻で、自ら、染める。
絵を描くように、織り、その上に刺繍する。
織の技法はすくい織、刺繍は、シンプルに線と点のステッチのみ。
ー糸は、多彩な質感を持つ、いくら色を重ねても濁ることのない絵の具。多くの時間を費やして作っていま
す。

Graduated Kyoto City University Institute of Art in 1982.
Member of Kyoto Craft and Art Society.
She is making the three dimentional and two dimentional art works by weaves.
Other than weaves she had been worked on unique clothes.
In 1983, she won in Asahi Crafts competition and nominated as one of the fine artists.
From 2001, she started to combine weaves and
embroidery in her art works.
In 2012, she was selected as one of the Top artist(Title Prize) in Japan New Craft and Art Competition.
Her art works are inspirated by birds, plants, musics, and spritual.
Her colorfull art works are made by many types of strings. Silks, linens, and wools. Even she color them by her self.
She makes art works based on her idea sketch, she makes the weaves like drwoing a picture.
Firstly she weave them and then embroidered them.
Her simple sketch become a fine art works after that.
She says, "The color string never get dulled even you overglaze, they make a harmony in my art works"
